BBC's Elite Educational Site: Learn more here!

Working with an ESL, ABE, or GED or MATH student?  This site seems to have it all for Adult Learners and Tutors both!

Math and English are featured on the Skillwise Home page. Within each section, there are loads ( excuse the common British slang) of introductory videos,  testimonials, tutorials, lesson plans, print-offs and even more.

This past week our now fully trained NEW tutors spent time discovering this site and together we came up with some great ideas about ways to best utilize this site.

We hope you enjoy it as well!

GCLearnFree - Website of the Week!

Hello all you ESL tutors! ( And to you others... come join the fun on this great new website!)

http://www.gcflearnfree.org/everydaylife

Just click on a topic such as maps, writing checks or checking your receipt and you and you student will be able to listen to and explore a mini lesson on one of the many topics such as these.

I also appreciate the Reading Activity section of this site.

I particularly like the word videos. Currently there are about 750 words and before the end of the year they hope to have 100 words.

Really there are tons of tutorials and I just recently got a mac, so this site has even helped me to better understand my new machine.

I hope you all enjoy GCLearnFREE  this week!
